About SG Book Fair 2025
Welcome to the SG Book Fair 2025 — a celebration of literature, culture, and community that spans generations and languages. Held in conjunction with the Singapore Writers Festival, this year’s fair offers a vibrant, multilingual literary experience that bridges readers and writers from around the world.
A Legacy of Literacy
The SG Book Fair is organized by the Bras Basah Merchant Association, with the support of the Singapore Book Publishers Association (SBPA). It is powered by a passionate collective of bookstores and publishers who have long contributed to Singapore’s literary landscape. Many of our participants were formerly involved in the Singapore Book Fair (SBF) since its inception in 1986 as the World Chinese Book Fair. While SBF ceased organizing book fairs in 2023, the SG Book Fair continues the tradition — reimagined for today’s diverse and dynamic literary community.
A Multilingual Experience
In 2025, the fair features books and authors in English, Chinese, Malay, and Tamil, creating a truly inclusive platform for literary exploration. With support from SBPA and over 75 member publishers, the fair champions multilingual literary development and cultural exchange.

Through initiatives like the SG Culture Pass, we encourage readers to discover and support Singapore literature. The SG Book Fair is not just an event — it’s a movement to nurture a vibrant literary ecosystem.
